Berne Museum of Art

Built in 1879, the Bern museum of art contains a lot of information on swiss. There is a large collection of swiss art and pictures by Italian masters of the 14th – 16th centuries, also on display are works by French artists of the 19th and 20th century.

The museum also has works from the older swiss artists who include Paul Löwensprung and Niklaus Manuel-Deutsch (1484-1530), it also has works from younger artists Karl Staufer (1857-91) and Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918). Paul Klee works are also on display, which are over 2,500 also the collections of art (Braque, Gris, Léger, Picasso, Kandinsky, Feininger, etc.). The museum also has works from foreign artists
